COVID-19

Jack’s Bus Service are committed to prioritising the health and safety of all our passengers, staff and community in response to the ever changing Covid-19 situation. We will continue to monitor advice from the Department of Health, the Department of State Growth and other industry partners, and implement appropriate measures as quickly as possible.

Anyone feeling unwell should avoid using public transport.

Please note as per current government regulations, all passengers, 12 years old and older,  travelling on public transport are required to wear a mask while onboard the vehicle.

Jack's Bus Service have developed a Covid Safety Plan using tools available from Worksafe Tasmania.

All our vehicles display a QR check in code to aide in contract tracing. We ask that all passengers, over 16 years of age, check in each time they board the vehicle.

Where possible, we will provide passengers with the opportunity to use hand sanitiser when boarding our vehicle.

We have introduced enhanced cleaning and sanitation on all our vehicles and where possible additional sanitation of high touch points will occur following each passenger engagement.

The Australian Government has advised that restrictions on gatherings do not extend to public transport. However, passengers should practice physical distancing where reasonably practical.

Our drivers are not responsible for enforcing physical distancing measures or the use of the check in app on vehicles.

Our drivers may refuse travel to anyone failing to wear a mask without medical clearance.  Jack's Bus Service do not supply masks for travel.

All passengers have a responsibility to practice good hand hygiene, cough and sneeze etiquette and physical distancing where possible.

Upon boarding a Jack's Bus Service vehicle you are acknowledging and agreeing that Jack's Bus Service have developed and implemented a suitable workplace safety plan around Covid-19 and therefore will do everything possible to mitigate any risk and Jack's Bus Service will not be liable for the unintentional exposure or harm due to COVID-19.
